Fargo Cass Public Health expands COVID-19 testing hours

Fargo, North Dakota – In response to increased demand and record case numbers, Fargo Cass Public Health has expanded COVID-19 testing hours on some Saturdays in the near future to handle the demand. The Department of Public Health is collaborating with Essentia to provide the additional employees needed to support the expanded testing.
In a statement, Dr. Richard Vetter, chief medical officer of Essentia, expressed gratitude for the opportunity to collaborate with Public Health to improve access to testing, which he believes is one of the most important steps in slowing the spread of COVID-19, particularly in light of the strain the omicron variant has placed on the community’s health-care resources.
The expanded Saturday hours at the Fargo test site, which is situated at 3051 25th St. S., will be in effect for the next three Saturdays and will run from 8 a.m. to noon. People are not required to make an appointment.
