City of Fargo to host ribbon-cutting ceremony for EV charger

Fargo, North Dakota – On Thursday, December 2nd, the City of Fargo will have a ribbon-cutting ceremony for its first electric vehicle (EV) charger.

Before the Fargo Moorhead West Fargo Chamber of Commerce Ambassadors cut the ribbon at 9 a.m. at Fargo City Hall, Fargo Mayor Dr. Tim Mahoney and Xcel Energy North Dakota Principal Manager Tony Grindberg will make comments. The dedication will be assisted by the Fargo Sustainability and Resiliency Committee and Fargo Public Works Department leadership.

This grant-funded project was completed in collaboration with the City of Fargo and Xcel Energy. The EV charger will provide enough electricity to charge plug-in electric vehicles, such as hybrid vehicles and trucks.
