Car problems brought on by the cold
Bismarck, North Dakota – These past two weeks have seen a lot of cold weather that drains car batteries.
According to Eugene LaDoucer, Director of Public Affairs at AAA, the number of calls in the area rose by 200–500% over the previous year.
He advised having some supplies in your car in case you become trapped on the side of the road.
“Jumper cables, a shovel, traction material like some sand or cat litter – those types of things can help get you out of a bind if it’s not a serious issue,” said LaDoucer.
According to LaDoucer, having a phone charger is also quite beneficial.
