Bismarck, North Dakota – In the Federal Duck Stamp competition of 2023, Todd Clausnitzer, an artist from North Dakota, finished among the top 10 finalists.

In addition to providing free admission into any U.S. wildlife refuge and a hunting license, the competition generates funds for the U.S. Migratory Bird Conservation Fund.

Clausnitzer has worked as a business owner and printer in addition to beginning his career as an artist in medical textbooks.

We asked him if he had plans to enter again and he said, “Oh, absolutely. It was a part of my bucket list.”

Daniel Schumacher, a different artist from North Dakota, was also among the finalists.
